New message re: GRFS beta
Dear Ghost Recon fans,
With the news of the release date change, the beta has become a big question in your minds. We know, and would like to take a moment to address your questions to the best of our ability.
We can assure you that the GRFS beta will absolutely still happen. When? At this time we don’t have a firm date. We are taking advantage of the extra development time to bring you the beta in its most polished state so that you guys can have the best gameplay experience, something you’ve come to expect from the Ghost Recon brand.
We appreciate you sticking with us while we continue to develop GRFS. We will be having some fun stuff coming up on the Facebook fan page, so if you’re not already a fan of GRFS on Facebook, do it now!
Many thanks and pancakes,
UbiKimi, UbiLeak, & the GRFS team

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (GRFS): Ubisoft Address Beta Questions

This is some real BS Ubisoft. The only reason I held onto that joke of a Splinter Cell game so long is because you guys said the beta WILL launch in the summer. Still nothing. I could have been traded that game in and got a good amount of money back for that overpriced and short game.
Then what do you all do next? Announce you can join the beta by just pre-ordering Future Soldier. What ever happened to the only way to get in was through Splinter Cell Conviction? Right.
My appreciation for Ubisoft dwindles everyday. See if I buy another one of your games new instead of used.

If there is a beta, will it be on anywhere this year, am I close? I like the videos and I already pre-ordered my copy, but there is a small misunderstanding, somebody said that there will only be a beta for Xbox360 and NOT for the PS3, how horrrrrrrible!!!! I only have a ps3 and I am a HUUUUUUUGE fan, so I just hope that the people at game stop were wrong, and there is a beta for the PS3, thanks :)))

I’m glad to jump on board the the Ghost Recon series and what’s a better way to start off my love for the Ghost Recon series than with this illustrious game. Ever since I watched the live stage demo at E3 I’ve been wondering…”Why haven’t I bought the other GRAW’s?”. Sadly I haven’t got the answer to this question but I’m sure that when this game is released That question along with many others will be demolished because the people asking those questions will be mindless zombies in a wonderland of bliss, and that wonderland is called Ghost Recon. Yes the game has been delayed, but that brings bittersweet news. It causes frustration for the more than eager and anticipated gamers like my self who wish the game would be released tomorrow, but it’s also like a quite blessing in that it shows the the great folks behind Ghost Recon actually care for it’s fans by making sure that all the mistakes are taking care of before the fans complain and that the bits and pieces that fell off or put back on (so to say). This is also the type of situation that raises the question that gamers often face and that question is, Would you rather a game be put on the market on a set date with all the bugs and glitches that they missed or would you rather the game be held off to ensure that you guys as gamers are satisfied with the end result and don’t feel cheated out of anticipation and obiviously money. Well I’m going to stop here because I actually don’t even know why I wrote this mini I guess blog (whatever a blog is) but yeah I guess, so if you comment on tell me some things you like about the Ghost Recon series and what I can expect. Adios.

Why do you need extra development time to release a beta? Is it because the beta isn’t ready? I’m really waiting anxiously to play this game so please release it as soon as possible… it’s a beta so we will all understand if it’s not 100% working properly… moving the release date was bad enough but now reneging on the beta date is making me very sad
would it help if I said “pretty please”?

I pre-ordered before this deal came out and I went back to gamestop to get the code a couple days before 6/28 and they had no idea what I was talking about. Am I screwed now or is there still a way to get the access code?

I have some of the same feeling as the one upset customer, but I love splinter cell. I do feel it is indeed short as fairly easy. When the stealth basic was removed the fun making sure to be quiet and difficultly went out the window. Now I was really excited to know that I would be able to play the Beta of GRFS. SO when I bought it I’m telling everyone that didnt “Ha Ha” I’ll be playing the beat before you. I get home and un wrap it to find out I have to wait for a email. Now I’ve checked my email regularly looking for something about but all I get is the stuff from E3 and news that you can play the beta when you reserve GRFS. I believe this issue needs to be addressed. We should be updated with some sort of information.

Ubisoft,
I can understand if difficulties are occurring and can appreciate that you are taking the time to improve, correct, and…eventually…perfect your games (in this instance G.R.F.S.). However, what I cannot understand is why the beta is only available for those who pre-order the game rather than those few who bought Splinter Cell Conviction (many of which purchased it specifically for the beta of G.R.F.S).
Not only was it confusing, as it had nothing to do with the production of your game, but it was downright deceitful. You lied to your fans. That was wrong. The people who play your games may not truly understand the honor and sacrifice it takes to be the people they are pretending to be, but for the few of us that actually understand what it is like, your actions are insulting; not only to your fans, but the men and women you are portraying in your ‘games’.
Yes it is true that times are tough, but for the men and women who these games are depicting, things aren’ t just hard. Many times they are downright impossible. Real people are hurt. Real lives are lost. Real blood is cast upon the ground…and no one ever knows how close we all came to destruction. Hopefully, we never will.
The least you can do for these hero’s is more than you will ever be able to give. More than you will ever be able to achieve in your small, boring, and probably uneventful lives. But they deserve at least that much, not just in a video game, but in every facet of your lives to know that their sacrifice was not in vain.
So the least that I can ask of you is that you live your lives in honor of those you have taken so many years to represent, or at least pass the torch to someone else, who can try and do them justice.
Thank you.

this is really funny i think because they have more time they want to make the game better before the beta comes out thats all good but if you really want the best game get the beta out and let all the hardcore gamers help you fix it for free.

Ubisoft,
I was wondering why my comments are no longer avaliable for people to view. I wrote nothing rude, discriminatory, or insulting. Is that what you do when people say things you don’t want other people to hear, just delete them? If so then I do not think that you should give people the chance critque your games, beliefs, or business practices.
If you don’t want to recieve messages from me, or people like me, you have a few options: 1. You can message me via email so that we can discuss issues that are at hand, and if need be give me contact information to contact G.R.F.S. creators and publicists in order to have my questions answered. 2. You can simlpy, not lie to your fans and always tell the truth. That would help immensly.
In conclusion, as I never recieved any information, or response of any kind from Ubisoft, I will take it on a measure of faith that you tried to contact me and failed. So I will give you yet another chance to do what you should have already done: I will give you 48 hours to respond back to me via email before I post yet another comment. However if that does not work I will do my best to make sure that you never lie to your fans or insult military personal ever again.
With all due sincerity,
Sam Fisher

isnt a beta a game in development and does not reflect the final version? all betas ive been in have been exactly that a work in progress. your trying to give us the polished version which is retail and NOT beta material.UBISOFT find you a new set of suckas to lie to.and yes i just went and refunded the preorder i bought because i just gave up on you.No Love Loss Here.Ill Stick With Zipper,At Least They keep Their Word no Matter How bad the Game might Be.

At least there’ll be a good shooter finally, since graw 2….I mean, every cod is horrible…let’s go camp, find glitches, and use perks, that don’t really exist…we just wanna make the game more fun…HA…fun is what we want, true, no one wants some idiot sitting in a corner of the map with a thermal…get a life ….GR>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ….granted some people will camp with the cloaking…it’s cool..it’s GR…there’ll be a way to spot em and shoot ‘em still…love this game, this line of gr games, with a passion…nothing beats them
